This page describes, in plain terms, what Gamingonix collects from visitors today and how it’s used. It’s written to match what the site actually does — not a template. It isn’t a formal legal document reviewed by counsel, and it doesn’t claim compliance with any specific regulatory framework (GDPR, CCPA or otherwise); it’s simply an honest account of the site’s current practices, kept up to date as those practices change.
What we collect today
Gamingonix does not currently run any third-party analytics or tracking (no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking cookies). We don’t maintain visitor accounts, and we don’t collect personal information through the site beyond what’s described below.
Newsletter signup
You’ll see a newsletter signup form in several places on the site. At present, that form is not connected to a real email-sending service — submitting it shows a confirmation message in your browser, but no email address is actually collected, transmitted or stored anywhere. If and when the newsletter is connected to a real email provider, this policy will be updated to describe what’s collected, how it’s used, and how to unsubscribe, before that happens.
Cookies & tracking
Gamingonix does not currently set tracking or advertising cookies. The site does not use a third-party ad network or ad server today.
Advertising, going forward
The site displays ad placements (banner, square and rectangle formats) using creative assets served directly from our own storage — no third-party ad network is plugged in yet, so no ad-related tracking currently occurs through these placements. If Gamingonix connects a third-party advertising network in the future, that network may use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure ads, potentially including across other sites. This policy will be updated before that happens, with details on what’s used and how to opt out where applicable.
Server logs
Like any website, Gamingonix runs on infrastructure (Cloudflare) that generates standard server logs as part of normal operation — things like request timestamps, IP addresses and user-agent strings. These logs exist to keep the site running securely and reliably; we don’t use them to build visitor profiles or share them with third parties for marketing purposes.
Content data
The database behind Gamingonix stores editorial content only — articles, authors and tags. It does not store visitor data.
Third-party links
Articles may link to external sites, including retailer links in "Where to Buy" sections (see our Terms for more on affiliate links). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover — we’d encourage you to check their policies before sharing any information with them.
Changes to this policy
This is a young, actively developed site, and this policy will change as real functionality (a connected newsletter provider, an advertising network, analytics) is added. We’ll update this page whenever that happens rather than collecting data ahead of disclosing it here.
